Dear Andromeda - 6 Months

Sweet Meda,

Another month of loving every minute with you! I feel so blessed. When I sit down to write these posts, it is a true reflection of really not knowing what the month holds.  This past month Grandma had an emergency surgery and has been staying with us. You're happy to have another face smiling at you all day.

Milestones/Special Firsts:

*Halloween! Usually we head to Bayview to party for Thanksgiving, but with Covid that was cancelled. We kept in low key and trick or treated in our subdivision. It was a beautiful evening and you truly enjoyed watching the kids and saying hello to neighbors from your stroller. You were a little brown bear!

*Daddy said, "Can you give me a mockey?" and you did! You gave about six of them. Melted us to the fullest!

*We celebrated your cousin Thanos' fourth birthday outdoors at PHFB. You enjoyed sitting by the fire watching the kids play in addition to the first (very light) snowfall!

Things You Like Right Now:

*You sit up so well now, so that is your preferred daily activity. Your favorite toy to play with is the fishbowl. You have so much fun pulling out each fish, over and over again. Your brother and sister and running around like crazy and there you are in the middle of it all, giddy over your fishbowl. You also are in heaven when someone lays on the floor with you.

*You are still pretty obsessed with Mommy. So much so you started waking every two hours through the night wanting to cuddle & nurse. Mommy admits she fell right into these nighttime snuggles. But after about two weeks, it caught up to Mommy and she realized it was something she couldn't keep up. Mama did a little sleep training and in two nights, you were back to sleeping through the night.

*Buckwheat! Anytime he walks into the room, your legs start kicking in excitement!

Things You Don't Like Right Now:

*We thought you would be a fan of the excersaucer, but at the moment it surely is not your favorite thing to do. You last a few minutes in it before starting to whine.

*I'm thinking it will be a couple months yet before you're crawling, as you really don't favor tummy time. As soon as we put you on your tummy, you roll right out of it. If we put a pillow behind you to prevent you from rolling over, you get frustrated real quick!

Your Siblings:

*Now that you're a bit more sturdy, you're just starting to get to do more fun stuff with your siblings! For example, car rides with Leo! Oh and being pushed around in the shopping cart too. Leo is thinking to himself, this little sister thing is pretty cool.

*We finished out the fall outdoor soccer season. There were a few games there that were super chilly! You braved the elements just fine and had fun hanging out in the van in-between games. Your cousin Ivy even extended a sideline wagon view for one of the games.

Your Dad:

*Daddy is known to give you your daily workouts! We're working on strengthening that core girl. You're getting stronger, but pretty stubborn when it comes to getting on all fours.

Your Mom:

*You're the baby of the family and I adore that you are so attached to me. These covid times have been very challenging, but being with you every single day is the best gift I could have ever asked for. You're my morning & evening star. I just look at you every day and wish I could keep you this little forever. I'm known to kiss those cheeks of yours at least 100 times each day.

Love,

Your Mommy
