Last Day of Swim Class

Today was pretty bittersweet...it was Ari's last swim class.  After 8 Saturdays of classes, he has officially completed his first swim session.  We will definitely be at the pool all summer practicing the things we learned, but he won't be enrolled in an actual "class" again until the fall.  I can't believe how quickly the time has passed and how much he learned in just 8 short weeks.  I'm so proud of him and how brave he is to go underwater at such a young age.

Thanks to Jim, the instructor, who you will see in the swim cap.  He was amazing with the babies, who ranged anywhere from 6 months to 18 months old.  He has been leading classes since 1979 and is a true character.

Just wanted to share with you the footage we got from today's free swim.

What a great video!! It looks like Ari absolutely loved his swim classes. What a brave little guy. We have a pool and we have been dunking Lids since the beginning but always quickly. I want to try the longer dunks you guys were doing. I wish there were lessons here. What sort of things did the instructor focus on? Really looks so fun! :)
